The PeopleThe Zambian people are what make this country truly special. They are not only warm, friendly and hospitable, but their love of music and dance can make even the hardest of travellers stop to look and listen. The majority of the nation consists of various Bantu tribes (98%) with a small proportion of Asians (mostly Indians 1%) and Europeans (1%). There are no tensions between the various tribes and it is usual for friends, family and social circles to be mixed. The population is about 10 million, with an unusually large majority of those living in urban centres. For a more detailed exposé on the Zambian people, CLICK HERE. |
