Kasanka National ParkKasanka has the distinction of being the only privately run National Park in Zambia. At one time, this area was neglected and heavily poached but since the formation of the Kasanka Trust (all profits go to the maintenance of the park), and the establishment of a safe haven for animals, once again game has returned to the area. Amazing birdlife and the shy sitatunga are it's notable features. Kasanka is a wetland park, therefore getting around is really only possible during the dry season (May-December). Mid-market lodges are available within the park and camping just outside of the park. |
