This place has it all… rivers, mountains, amazing birdlife, awesome fishing and tons of wildlife! The park is teeming with elephant, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetah, zebra, hippos, crocs and antelope. Canoe safaris are the main attraction here where you will spend your days paddling along the river amongst the hippos, gazing at the abundant wildlife, and then bush camping on the islands. Although this park is known for its exclusive camps, organised backpacker trips and budget self-catering camping facilities are also available but these must be booked in advance. Numerous campsite and lodges just outside park boundaries in the GMA.
