There are two main reasons that travellers go to Mbala… the Moto Moto Museum and Kalambo Falls. Both are well worth a visit! The museum houses a large collection of North Zambian artefacts including weapons, tools, musical instruments and witchcraft exhibits. 33km north of Mbala is Kalambo Falls. At 221 m, it is over twice the height of Victoria Falls and quite simply breathtaking! As well, it is the nesting spot of the rare Marabou Stork and a significant archaeological site. Camping and accommodation available in town. It is possible to camp at the top of the falls, however there are no facilities.
